I’ll never forget the first Sunday I made my way back to church after debuting my little booklet, “The Soulful Vagina playbook, the little book that gives women BIG ideas on how to masturbate.” on a local radio show. And there sat Mrs. Repressed in her Sunday’s best, including a ridiculous Sunday hat, frowning at me. Her husband was delighted to tell all who would listen, that he’d heard me on the radio talking about masturbation. On the word masturbation his wife looked at me as if she was gonna die. Of course this egged me on. I asked her, Mrs. Holier Than Thou, what the bible said about masturbation. I’d done my research and I knew that the bible didn’t give a clear scripture that tells if masturbation was right or wrong, but I wanted to get her uptight interpretation on the subject matter. I wanted her uptight lips, that have probably committed many unspeakable acts, to tell me what scriptures in the bible she believed to be an argument against masturbation.
Instead, she told me that she was unsure and would have to get back to me.
One year later she has yet to get back to me. Since writing the little booklet, and another one, titled, “the soulful vagina playbook, the little book that gives women big ides on how to celebrate. What “doing you” really means." I’ve met so many uptight and repressed church women. Not Christians.
To be fair I’ve met way more liberated women who have enjoyed reading the booklet. But it’s the uptight and repressed women that get on my last nerves.
